GHS Key Club seniors Kent Holmes, president, and Spencer Lewis, and juniors Nicole Noble and Claire Sherman, treasurer, enjoy one of the side benefits of "working" last weekend's Tour de Donut.
Fourteen Key Club students served donuts to about 600 bicycle riders from a dozen states Saturday morning. Started several years ago in Illinois as a "farce" on the Tour de France, the local event started two years ago and has grown in popularity ever since. Riders get to knock five minutes off their time for every donut they eat at two stops, Bears Mill and Pitsburg.
