American Legion Commander honored

Norman Fullerton, Commander of American Legion Post 140, Greenville, was honored recently for his service to the post as its Commander from 2004 through 2008.
The award was given to the U.S. Army veteran during the American Legion Post 140 Veteran’s Day dinner. It was presented on behalf of the membership by Post Legionnaire Jerry Gasquez.
It reads:
“The American legion Post 140 gives this special recognition of merit, to Commander Norm Fullerton, in appreciation for his four years of prior service in helping Post 140 with his devotion, and leadership. He has inspired many of us through his honesty, and determination to make this Post better for all. We salute you Commander Fullerton.”
The back of the award was signed by members and officers in the Post.
After noting that all past Commanders are deserving for what he termed a “thankless job,” Gasquez offered his appreciation for their assistance in making the award possible to: Delores Sleppy and daughter Tammy, Billie Jo Denniston and Frankie Sanderson.
Fullerton works for Centurylink in Greenville.
