Booker's Look, by Alan Booker

WAGNER AVE

I have been watching the progress out on Wagner Ave for some time now wow it looks great. Was remembering things out there, Let's start right at the beginning; what is now Walgreen's was Harter's Shell man right next door was originally a great drive in resturant that latter became the best place in town for doughtnuts!!!!

Across the street has only changed a little, I mean it's Speedway now but still a marathon, Acroos the street again (from the Shell) was Jay's 76, I used to love going by there checking out the race cars if he had any laying around. there was a car wash then what is now Papa Johns was the first KFC, and next to that was a looong time ago an iconic building "the Yarn Dome", the first building which was an actual green dome buurnt down and was replaced by the currenty building. AHHHH SIGH.

Moving back onto Wagner man this place changed hands more trhan a dollar bill hmm let my think, well if memory serves it started out as a Lawson's then a whole slew of differant things. moving on... The Y of course which was originally on East main (more later), Next to that well I want to add more later because it starts to get a little exciting from here on out and not just the stores and businesses

Keep on remembering

Alan
