Boehner... Court ruling underscores need to repeal Obamacare

Court Ruling Underscores Need to Repeal Jobs-Killing Health Care Law, Replace it with Real Reform

At the heart of President Obama's job-killing health care law is a mandate that puts the federal government in the business of forcing you to buy health insurance and taxing you if you don't.  As I've said before, this is unwise, unaffordable and unconstitutional.

Yesterday a federal Judge in Virginia agreed and struck down the individual mandate.  Instead of appealing this decision, President Obama should take notice of the growing revolt against his jobs-killing health care law and work with Congress to repeal it and replace it with reforms to lower costs and protect jobs.  This would be the easiest way to keep ObamaCare from costing our economy more jobs.

As the new Majority takes formal control of the House in January, please know that Republicans have made a Pledge to America to repeal this jobs-killing health care law, and that's what we're going to do.  Also in this week’s E-Bulletin you’ll find the times and locations for my weekly “Open Door” program and the latest on Republican efforts to stop all the looming tax hikes from hitting American families and employers on January 1.  Please continue to keep me updated on the issues that concern you.

Sincerely,
John Boehner
Congressman, 8th District
