Thank you from the Senior Scribes

To the Editor and the Darke County Community:

About three and one half years ago, the Senior Advocates were formed. Shortly thereafter, that group formed a 501(c)3 Scholarship Fund. About a year ago, the Senior Advocates changed their name to the Senior Scribes and became associated with the Early Bird Newspaper.

The Scholarship Fund has sponsorships in three categories: Bronze, Silver and Gold. During the past year, the Darke County business and private sectors have been very supportive of the scholarship fund.

The Board of Directors of the Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund would like to take this opportunity to recognize these sponsors publicly and to relay its thanks to each and every one of the sponsors. It is the support of those listed that made it possible to award $1, 000 each to the four Darke County scholarship recipients to use for their college year beginning this fall.
