Back in time with the Scribes

Go back in time with the Scribes

Miss the 50’s and 60’s?
Take a trip back into time with the Senior Scribes and “Classic Touch” as they hold an Oldies Rock ‘n Roll fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Greenville.
The fun starts at 7:30 and admission is free. Free will donations will be requested to support the Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund, which has already provided more than $6,000 in scholarships to Darke County seniors pursuing a variety of communications fields in college.
Pull your 50’s and 60’s garb out of the closet, dust it off and show it off! Then sing and dance to your favorites with “Classic Touch,” a local duo that has been performing throughout Darke County, most recently at the Great Darke County Fair.
The duo will be performing free for the benefit. There will also be a guest performer straight out of the 50’s, and the word is out that those attending will see some local seniors in a chorus line behind the group.
The Lighthouse Christian Center is located at 5256 Sebring Warner Road, Greenville, just off State Hwy 127. Refreshments will be available. For further information, please contact Senior Scribes Scholarship Board Member and Concert Committee chairman Delbert Blickenstaff at (937) 547-8539.
