TEA Meeting Report

DARKE T.E.A. PATRIOT
October 5, 2010   MEETING REPORT
A Prayer presented by Mike Stegall and the  Pledge of Alligiance to our Flag with NO sound amplification started this very enthusiastic but brief meeting.  The meeting was brief because a number of the Patriots left at 7:00 P.M. to attend the Greenville City Coucil Meeting at 7:30 P.M. in City Hall.
The content of an email from Mercer County regarding the Death Tax Petition and the fact that the Ohio Secretary of State has issued the dates for acceptance of Petitions and Referendums at the beginning of the calendar year and the current petition is of zero value this year was rapidly reviewed.

A trillion attend rally

From Human Events…
One Trillion Attend One Nation Rally
10/02/2010

A crowd of about one trillion people attended the hard-left progressive One Nation rally on the Mall Saturday in Washington, D.C. Leave aside for a moment that there are around seven billion people inhabiting the entire planet, attendees came from as far away as Alpha Centauri and Uranus to attend the rally in support of Barack Obama and his big government agenda.
All of these people want free health care (they already got the free lunch and T-shirt when they were bused in).

Youth Groups volunteer at Clothing Bank

About 20 young people from four student organizations helped HandsOn West Central Ohio, at Grace Resurrection Community Center, prepare its fall clothing bank.

Summer clothes had earlier been packed and removed from clothing racks, to be replaced by clothing intended for fall and winter wear.

Sometimes it's necessary to go a long distance out of the way in order to come back a short distance correctly. ~ Edward Albee

As a child, divorce was all around me. I’d uncles who were divorced and remarried, one multiple times. I’d close family friends who were divorced, a few school chums with divorced parents, even my own parents divorced when I was eleven years old, both going on to remarry, one side several times, too.
It seemed the only place there wasn’t divorce in my young life, or at least very, very few divorcees hanging about, was at church.

Governor races give hope for the GOP37 seats on ballot with redistricting on the horizon
Tuesday, September 07, 2010
By Tom Raum, The Associated Press

WASHINGTON -- Never before have so many governorships been up for grabs -- and with so much at stake.

The races come just ahead of once-in-a-decade congressional and legislative redistricting to reflect the U.S. population of the 2010 census, a process in which governors will play a central role. Of the 37 governorships on the ballot, more than half are open seats. And many of the contests are in prime 2012 presidential battleground states.

Democrats control 26 governorships and must defend 19 in November. Sheer math, the sour economy and historical trends favoring the out-of-power party in midterm elections suggest big Republican statehouse gains.
