Last WWI Vet passes away; Rhoades sheds more light on funding; Visit a Vet; Questionable Benefits of Wind Power & More

Hi everyone,

The following have been posted for March 2, 2011, at County News Online:

From the Editor

Our last surviving WWI Veteran, passed away at the age of 110. He was 16 years old when he lied about his age to enlist. According to an AP story, one of the things he wanted to see was a memorial for WWI veterans… and was sad that it didn’t happen. See the tribute to him in News by Redstate. Speaking of Vets, Hands-on has a volunteer opportunity for you. And Bob Rhoades sheds more light on the role another institution – lobbies – has played on budget problems.
